Exploring the Future of Finance Through Immersive Technologies

On October 9th, the Limburg Immersive Technologies (LIT) Network took part in the Finance Experience Day organized by Fagro | Team EIFFEL, an inspiring event that brought together professionals, educators, and researchers to explore the digital future of finance.

During the event, Tim Hilken (Maastricht University School of Business and Economics) and Richard Martina (Zuyd University of Applied Sciences) led an engaging DEXLab Masterclass on how Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) can create tangible value for finance professionals.

Participants discovered how immersive technologies can transform the way we learn, collaborate, and innovate in the financial sector — from simulating complex decision-making scenarios to visualizing real-time data in 3D environments.

The session also featured hands-on AR and VR experiences giving participants the opportunity to experiment with immersive tools that are shaping the next generation of professional training.

These experiences demonstrated how technology can bridge the gap between theory and practice, making financial concepts more intuitive, interactive, and impactful.
